One of my favorite stand-up comedians, Sebastian Maniscalco, has not only single handedly made himself a household name, but maintains a top earning comedian in recent years, including 2019.
Maniscalco’s frequent comedic anecdotes about his father, a hairstylist who immigrated to the U.S.A. from Siscily at age 15, have provided hundreds of thousands of Americans with knee-slappers. Now, 21 years after his regular open mic performances at the Four Seasons Hotel (L.A.) where he also waited tables, he joked his way up from being the only elementary school kid in the lunchroom with Italian leftovers to releasing five hit comedy specials and landing supporting acting roles in highly respected films––three of which are on Netflix.
Similar to his jokes, Sebastian Maniscalco’s website is just as navigable and easy to understand. The main menu, which is located on the top of the webpage, allows users to choose from a variety of tabs––”Sebastian Maniscalco” as the homepage, apparel, headwear, accessories, media, deli line, a cart icon, and a search icon. The site’s conversion optimization is effective at leaving viewers satisfied with their choice to engage. The calls to action on Maniscalco’s website include email subscriptions, click-through headers, featured products, media (books, DVDs, signed DVDs), just released headwear/accessories/apparel, Maniscalco’s website is highly strategic and user friendly.
On the topic of usability, Maniscalco’s website leaves you with a sense of satisfaction. Unlike when a parent calls you to ask what the difference between WiFi and Data is, finding the information that you’re seeking is as easy as clicking on the Netflix title, “Why Would You Do That?,” after a long workday. Whether you visit the site for laughs or merchandise, you will appreciate the cohesive flow of information.
